Pre-Recap
"Pre-Recap" ...is that an oxymoron?
Sometimes when I first wake up, I draw in my journal on the page allocated for the day's wrap-up. Then, at the end of the day I write around the drawing, thus saving both the day's events of note, and a work of art (such that it may be).

Guest Artists - Niece & Nephew
I was at my brother Kevin's house for the day yesterday, and I brought my 18" x 24" sketch pad. I spent some time drawing with my niece Jackie, and after a bit, my nephew Jared joined in as well.
We all drew on the same giant page, so find below the entirety, and then the close-ups of our 'designated areas':

Jackie had the left, I had the right, and Jared grabbed a pencil & joined in awhile later on top! |
Jackie's aliens and flowers! |
I showed Jackie a shortcut to drawing roses. I also drew a robot and a yeti! |
Jared copied my robot (and added his own spin), and then he drew its rocket ship! |

Underwater Micro
Today I was originally going to draw a star ship blasting off, but the show on pirates I was watching made me change my mind to an escaping octopus. His head is smaller than a dime - I love tiny tipped pens!
Futuristic Man
A lot of the time when I am drawing, I don't know what my subject will be. I just go with the flow, and let whatever jumps out of my brain come out onto the paper.
A pulpish sci-fi hero kinda guy was yesterday's accomplishment.

Comics Conundrum
Since I refuse to pay four dollars for a 20-page comic book, for the last year or so Nick has been kind enough to use his big ol' discount (with my money) to buy me the monthly "All-New X-Men" from Marvel Comics for three dollars.
However, now that we no longer work in the same building, and a simple hand-over is no longer convenient, he has been gathering a pile of them, and is going to mail them to me at some point. As you can see, anticipation is high:
Note: Nick drew his first, because I have been bugging him, and I drew mine in response, though the real-life timeline is reversed!

Nika
Yesterday's winter storm dropped 9 inches of snow in my part of Massachusetts.
Here is a cartoony self-portrait:

Projects
Here are a couple of drawings from the past couple of days. A robot (from a neverending series) and a woman from a specific writing/drawing project I've been working on for awhile:
I began this doodle with black, and then continued accidentally with orange later. |
She is one of a team of 'investigators of the bizarre'. |
