Partial Robot

I drew this robot today, and later I will have Ai finish it and smooth it out, so I can see it in shiny glory.

Wheelie

I spent the last few days drawing for the first real time in ages. This 'wheelie' robot is what I came up with. He normally walks on two legs, but he has tires in both 'shoes', a primary and a backup. One shoe lets out a tire and it is then rapidly filled with gas to make it hard and tough, and both shoe bottoms clamp onto it so the robot can zoom around like a motorized unicycle. It happens faster than an airbag deployment, so he can change as he runs, and then zip away much faster than if he stayed on foot.

I used a ballpoint for the initial sketch, then went over it with NicPro drawing pens.
And then I colored it with a mix of Prismacolor pencils and a gold Sharpie.

Dodged It

I drew a robot gyrating wildly to avoid something (an energy blast perhaps? A line drive at a baseball game?). I wanted motion, and I think I pulled it off.

Robot and Alien

Random drawings from the last two days:

The robot was drawn first, and then the alien the next day (the page felt empty).
Each one is marked with the date upon it was drawn.

New Drawing Pad

The first drawing I did in the pad that accompanied the drawing set that Sarah & Jon & family got me for Christmas. I later added color with a pale light blue colored pencil.

Orbs to Robot

I was drawing randomly, and wound up with a bunch of textured spheres. Later in the day, I still had the drawing itch, so I expanded upon the original scribble, and turned it into a robot pondering a work of art in a museum.

Robot and Pumpkin II

Well, it was fun for awhile, but I got bored with this, so here is the final work on the robot who carves pumpkins.

Robot and Pumpkin I

I haven't done much drawing lately so yesterday I decided to jump into something random. And since the fall weather has been creeping up the last few days (sunny, but dry), I decided to draw something Halloween-related.

For me robots and Jack O'Lanterns are the most fun, so I am combining them for the current go-round:

Free hand with Pigma Micron.

Small Robot

I drew this guy in my journal. Just a simple rolling robot with extendable arms.

Beer Robot Part 2

The finished drawing, with colored pencils, gold ink, and the Prismas.

Beer Robot

I felt like drawing, so I did. These are the first two stages of Beer Robot (final colors added later). His arms, legs and torso can change length at will, in order to maximize beer-serving capacity...

So Shiny

I drew this robot last night. Silver ball point on green paper.

Robot A-1

Just another in a series of drawings (black ball point pen) done while I sat online doing other things...

Guest Artists - Niece & Nephew

I was at my brother Kevin's house for the day yesterday, and I brought my 18" x 24" sketch pad. I spent some time drawing with my niece Jackie, and after a bit, my nephew Jared joined in as well.

We all drew on the same giant page, so find below the entirety, and then the close-ups of our 'designated areas':

Jackie had the left, I had the right, and Jared grabbed a pencil & joined in awhile later on top!

Jackie's aliens and flowers!

I showed Jackie a shortcut to drawing roses. I also drew a robot and a yeti!

Jared copied my robot (and added his own spin), and then he drew its rocket ship!

Projects

Here are a couple of drawings from the past couple of days. A robot (from a neverending series) and a woman from a specific writing/drawing project I've been working on for awhile:

I began this doodle with black, and then continued accidentally with orange later.

She is one of a team of 'investigators of the bizarre'.

Robot Fights Armor

I was hanging out with my twin nieces last night, and this is what I drew:
Two previous drawing subjects duke it out!

Final Tweak

I didn't like the pen color job, so I went over yesterday's robot with colored pencils.
MUCH better...

Extensions

I drew this robot over the last 2 days. All of the dark blue lined areas are meant to expand and contract at will. Perhaps I should draw it in action at some point...
