Jack II

A bigger, more elaborate Jack O'Lantern, this time with a creepy bottle gourd getting all up in its personal space (haha). 8.5" x 5.5" with Prismacolor pencils, NicPro black ink pens, and Sharpies. No pencil used.

Jack I

My first real Jack O'Lantern of the season, not counting the one I drew on my hand-drawn calendar for September/October. I posted it on Instagram, and tried their Meta AI feature. It spit out a ridiculously cool looking 3D claymation-style image.

 

 

Jack O'Little

I bought a mini-pumpkin on the way to the lake today, and after my usual walk in the fine autumn air, I carved myself a little jack o'lantern.

I haven't done much drawing lately so yesterday I decided to jump into something random. And since the fall weather has been creeping up the last few days (sunny, but dry), I decided to draw something Halloween-related.

For me robots and Jack O'Lanterns are the most fun, so I am combining them for the current go-round:

Pumpkin Patch

I have to draw at least one pumpkin each Halloween season. 

Here is a protoplasmic alien skulking through a patch of giant pumpkins.

Inktober 2021 - Week 1

For the first week of Inktober 2021 I was able to get 4 prompts done:

Day 1: Crystal

For Day One I hastily scribbled out a red crystal sitting in grass, slowly being split over time.

Day 2: Suit (outline)

Day 2: Suit (final)

For Day Two I was at work, so I used the tools at hand: ball point pens and neon hi-liter markers.

Day 3: Vessel (bottle) and Day 6: Spirit

And for Days 3 and 6 (I wanted to get as many done as possible) I drew Boo Berry the cereal mascot, escaping from the bottle in which he'd been encased. And on the table alongside the bottle are a couple of relevant books as well!

 It's a bit early for Halloween drawings, so last night I went for something a little different:

Snow-Tober

 I had today off, and it snowed, from the middle of last night until midday. So I drew a Jack O'Lantern assaulted by snow!

Days 5 and 9

 I was at work on hold with tech support yesterday afternoon, so I took advantage of the down time to draw Days 5 (Vampire) and 9 (Werewolf) of Inktober:

I used the tools at hand: post-it notes, Sharpies, and highlighter markers (after first sketching the carousing pair with a ball point pen).

Day 14 - Jester

 I decided to color today's drawing with ONLY markers instead of colored pencils. SO much brighter!

Somewhat Spooky

 This year's Instagram Drawing Challenge is no the official #Inktober of the last few years. I am going with another prompt list called "Somewhat Spooky". It's a lot more simple, and I've let the nieces & nephews know about it.

Inktober 2019 Wrap Up

I participated in this year's Inktober again. And while I was very strong out of the gate, I limped toward the finish line, but didn't cross.

I managed to produce the first 13 days in a row (though I combined 8-10 into one drawing); and then I threw together 21, 22, and 27. Hey, that's still sixteen days! More than last year. All are posted on my Instagram, but you can find most of them below as well.

I'll add the photos sometime soon.
